SALTY

In November of 2013 we were alerted to a post on a local buy and sell page. A man was losing his farm and had to place about 30 pigs in a very short amount of time. He didn't live very far from us and I was determined to help at least a few. I put out a plea for foster homes and secured two of them. Another local sanctuary was willing to take in two as well. So we set off for this farm on a cold November morning. It was very hard just choosing four to take home.Salty and her brother Ozzie were two of the ones we chose. As it turns out, we grew quite attached to them before the other sanctuary could come and get them. They ended up staying on as permanent residents, and the two that were being fostered also found permanent homes.
